Casing Press Stand

The casing press stand allows the Casing Press to be  used off the bench in either an upright position or a prone position.  In the upright position Casing Press  serves for standard casing in operations, as well as  most operations performed with a standard standing press.  In the prone position the press can be used for finish work, cleaning spines and backing or reshaping the spine using the optional backing boards.

Backing Boards

The backing boards, used in conjunction with the stand, replace the removable press boards and allow the press to be used for cleaning spines and light backing/reshaping operations.

The backing board jaws are beveled in 1/8".  This ensures a firm grip at the textblock's joint and slightly pushes the spine upward.  

1/4" polycarbonate panels line the top surface of the maple jaw protecting them from damage.
