7. Measure and cut boardsCut boards 1/16” longer than the height of the textblock. The width of the board is the measurement from the shoulder of the textblock to the its foredge. |

8. Cut inlayCut an inlay strip of 10 pt. bristol or heavy paper stock. The inlay should be cut to the length of the boards and the thickness of the spine. 9. Cut book clothCut a piece of book cloth 1 1/2” or more longer than the perimeter of the textblock measured from foredge to foredge around the spine and as wide as the length of the boards plus at least 1 1/2”
